The bottom line is to make sure you pick a theme and stick with it. The theme may have a basic colour pattern (for example favourite sports team colours, or nautical colours) so it is important to decorate the room accordingly. Remember, sometimes less is more, so it is important to pick a handful of cool wall décor rather than a dozens and dozens of different themes and types.
