If you live in a household with children or adults who eat, sleep and breath hockey then why not go ahead and decorate their bedroom or games room with a hockey theme.

The sport of hockey originated in Canada but is now enjoyed by participants and fans alike in all of world, especially in the rest of North America and Europe.

A great way to start would be the colors. By using the colors of your favorite team you can show be a loyal fan to one team or if there is not a special team in mind, one can go with a more generic cool blue or white to create the feel of an ice rink.

A mural or hockey picture of either a goalie or a player in action (or both!) will give the surface of the icy walls an actual character and allow them to stand out. For hardwood floors in the room you can take a good look at the blue and red lines of an ice hockey rink and you can use an industrial style of tape to place them on the floor. Or you can simply find a rug that has a small ice rink on it.

A hockey goalie net would add a perfect touch to a room and with a little extra slack the top of the netting can be used as a miniature hammock for undergarments (yikes!), toys, hockey gear, etc.

The bedding can be found easily using either your favourite teams logos or of a regular hockey bedding any of which can be found for the duvets (comforter cover), hugger (fitted corner comforter), euro shams, sheet sets, and pillows

Furniture
For furniture in the bedroom such as the dresser, be sure to paint them to match your rooms choice of colors, but be sure to replace the handles with hockey pucks to give the ultra hockey appearance to the furniture. Mounting pucks to the wall with hooks for clothes or gear to be hung will be great for hanging jerseys, jackets, etc.

Lastly, not to forget the windows, the hockey room must have all curtain rods replaced with hockey sticks, and use pucks mounted to the walls (with wood and colored ties of your choice) as the tie backs.
